I upgraded from my Chu 2 and Zero 2 to the Moondrop May after spending 10+ hours trying iems in-store. The thing that stuck out the most was the clarity, it almost felt like I was wearing open backs (slight hyberbole).
Staff were super friendly and told me that they thought the May sounded better with an analog 3.5mm vs using the stock DSP cable. And they were right. I'm honestly sad I spent 10 hours trying iems without trying these out. People complained about the DSP app when in fact they don't even need to fiddle with it. lol.
Thanks so much to hangout for providing this service <3.
I'm not a huge IEM snob so after my Moondrop Arias broke, getting this for replacement has been pretty great. Worked hassle free with both my Android phone and my Windows laptop, the sound quality is pretty comparable with Arias all things considered, a great choice in the price bracket.
The app for iOS doesn’t detect the May otherwise they are great for phones.
I'm a bit of an IEM newbie, so my experience has been mostly with entry-level IEMs. These mays are my first foray into higher quality and they have become my daily drivers. I continue to use the DSP cable as my phone is an Android, and so far I have noted that the tuning seems perfect for the types of music I listen to. If you're looking for a step up from the entry-level, Mays are a good choice, especially if you're interested in the DSP experience.
The difference was the quality service I received as an order from Canada. The email exchange I had after a question was prompt, helpful and clear. The shipping was fast and straightforward. Overall, a great ordering experience.
Walked in and got greeted by the friendly staff, overall purchasing process is simple and staff even offered to try on before purchasing which really helped in making decisions!
