When it works it sounds good (4.4mm balanced output, I haven't tried the 3.5mm).
However it sometimes just stops playing audio at all. Then I have to either wait a bit or unplug and plug it in again to get audio.
There is also a very prevalent clicking noise that I sometimes can hear.
It behaves kind of like the solder joints aren't properly done or there is play somewhere on the circuit board. I cant check this though without damaging the enclosure since it seems to be glued together.
From what I've read online there is kind of a quality gamble with this product. I'd recommend buying something else.

Great product, although, there's no convenient carry case for it
This DAC is perfect for my use, I personally pair it with a pair of Truthear Nova IEMs and it sounds genuinely great and that's just with the standard unbalanced output. I have yet to try the balanced output jack but I expect it to sound even better!
