Measurements by Hangout.Audio
Truthear PURE is a high-performance hybrid in-ear monitor featuring one dynamic driver and three balanced armature drivers, designed to deliver a refined, balanced sound across the frequency spectrum. Built using advanced DLP-3D printing technology and equipped with a custom 10mm dynamic driver featuring an LCP diaphragm and copper voice coil, PURE delivers punchy, controlled bass and clear mids. The precision-designed crossover system and nozzle structure ensure each driver performs optimally, resulting in outstanding phase consistency and objective measurements. Compared to the popular HEXA, PURE offers a stronger low-end, richer mids, and enhanced detail in the highs, making it an excellent choice for music, gaming, and professional monitoring. My first pair of IEMs. Very balanced sound. Instrument detail and separation is excellent. The bass response (while it does exist) isn't going to blow your mind as that's not what these are really meant for, so some music that relies heavily on that might seem flatter or more boring. But it's very even sound and I really appreciate that. I have no issues listening to audio for long periods of time in terms of pain or discomfort.
In terms of physical ear comfort, they are overall pretty good and can be used for extended periods of time. For sleeping with, they don't really support side-sleeping. However, they're suitable for listening sessions that you intend to extend into a short nap while laying on your back.
The cable is very nice. There is minimal audio interference with the sound from the cable moving around, which is something I had no idea how much I'd appreciate after transitioning from a cheaper pair of headphones.
As a sidepoint, for those interested in language learning, these are really nice for any kind of listening practice. Speech is detailed, balanced, and comfortable for extended periods of time. You can hear a lot even at low volume levels.
These are my first iems i have ever purchased. The sound quality is amazing, albeit this being my first ever iems i have ever purchased. Hopefully in the future ill try and get the hexas.
Really clear and sounds amazing
Pros: Sound.
These are pretty neutral and much more pleasing and less fatiguing than some V-shaped IEMs I've had before. For fun listening, I would like even a little bit more bass, but as a musician, I appreciate the flat sound for production and mixing, also for monitoring on stage. I play the drums, and the Pures isolate well enough for that purpose even with silicone tips. Instrument separation is also great, I can hear everyone on stage clearly.
Cons: Comfort.
The nozzle is pretty big, so with ear shape, even the smallest tips are not super comfortable and start to hurt after some time. These are the first IEMs I've had this problem with, I use the medium tips with most.
