Measurements by Hangout.Audio
Truthear PURE is a high-performance hybrid in-ear monitor featuring one dynamic driver and three balanced armature drivers, designed to deliver a refined, balanced sound across the frequency spectrum. Built using advanced DLP-3D printing technology and equipped with a custom 10mm dynamic driver featuring an LCP diaphragm and copper voice coil, PURE delivers punchy, controlled bass and clear mids. The precision-designed crossover system and nozzle structure ensure each driver performs optimally, resulting in outstanding phase consistency and objective measurements. Compared to the popular HEXA, PURE offers a stronger low-end, richer mids, and enhanced detail in the highs, making it an excellent choice for music, gaming, and professional monitoring. Complete with a silver-plated coaxial cable, PURE offers premium performance at an accessible price.

I started my yourney with Fiio FH3 iems, loved bass rumble ant V shaped sound, then after 2 years decided to level up, so after long research bought Punch Audio Martillo - bass rumble Amazing, subbass in your face, dopamine maker :D planar highs very crispy and clean, priced around 280$, but after listening Ziigatt Odyssey OG - noticed nice mids, decided to buy some more balanced IEM. My decision was Truthear PURE - im so happy with the sound, even after 3x priced punch audio martillo, just added +3db aruond 55Hz and slithly more upper highs aruond 12-15khz (to meet planar crispiness) and now it became my Main IEM i listen every day. Yes, i loose so of high's detail, exelent bass responce in bass department, but looks like finally found my most loved sound signature IEM, its Truthear PURE + 3Db of subbass. i mostly listen EDM music, Stutter house, d&B - best for long listening sessions. 5 STARS
Not an expert, wouldn't say that my ears are particularly sensitive/trained to hear difference in sound signatures. I bought and found the pure complementing my blessing 3 quite well. High ends sound more gentle on tracks that are cymbal and snare heavy.
These actually sound so good that this might be my endgame for a long time
Honestly there is not much for me to specifically say because I am not necessarily an expert, but this thing just sounds very good It sounds just right. It’s not overly in your face with a bunch of bass or treble so you can listen for super long or even sleep and it still isn’t going to wake you up (depending on the volume and fit of course) the vocals on this thing actually come out really nice in a satisfying kind of way. Like you hear it and it just sounds fulfilling. It’s different from your normal energetic sound, but it sounds less hollow I guess you could say. Some things I will say though are (1) the bass may still lack a little for someone who likes a little more bass (which is still fixable depending on what eartips you choose)and (2) It is a decently bigger iem with a slightly longer nozzle so again you’re gonna want to find an ear tip that fits you the best. Honestly I think stock eartips in general don’t sound the best, but on the ones Included, they sound and fit pretty okay but other than that that’s all I got to say at least for my tastes everything is there not too much not to little. Very fulfilling sounding Iem
I've not used IEMs since 2018, and saw these in a YouTube review after looking at reviews of the Hexa.
Sound-wise, these absolutely tick all my personal boxes as a producer that values a frequency response comparable to that of reference headphones, for daily long-term casual listening purposes while working. Certainly a vast improvement over my Bluetooth Sonys. The bass response is fantastic. Powerful and punchy without sounding woofy or boomy. The highs are very clean indeed, and not at all harsh - I'd be keen to try the brighter Hexa counterpart to see how they compare, but there's just enough high end here or me for extended listening without sounding dark or dull enough that returning to reference headphones is a problem. The mids are also fantastic. Very even, impressively so, actually.
Simply put, I can wear these for the majority of a 10 hour shift and return immediately to studio headphones without having to spend time re-acclimatizing my ears back to a flat profile again. That counts for a lot.
The unboxing was fantastic. The packaging was colourful and charming without being at all obnoxious insofar as company slogans are concerned (I'm looking at you, Raycon). All the information needed and nothing more, and the artwork is adorable, credit to the artist.
Contents were well packaged and presented, and the included parts are above par in my opinion; the cable is fantastic and the best I've used personally, and the included carry case is splendid in operation. Clearly designed with convenience in mind.
I'd recommend these to anyone looking for a pair of affordable and well made IEMs that have a balanced and honest sound to them. Very happy with my purchase, and looking forward to all the future listening I'll have with them!
Only two points I'd mention (and these are to be taken with a dried-up lake's worth of salt) are that there were some slight (and I mean slight) defects in the surface finish of the resin casing of the headphones, which is to be expected from the 3D printing and (presumably) hand finishing used, this is only noticeable on a very close inspection and frankly isn't an issue at all. It doesn't affect comport, sound, listenability or my opinion of this product.
That, and the sound stage isn't the biggest, but:
- They're IEMs, they're typically narrower sounding anyway
- I'm comparing to over ear headphones, so it's a moot and unfair comparison.
- I didn't buy these for their sound stage
- The instrument separation is still fantastic regardless thanks to the great quality drivers, acoustics, and resultant frequency response.
