The World’s Flattest In-Ear Monitors.
Purpose-built for absolute neutrality, the CrinEar Reference is a precision-engineered in-ear monitor designed to deliver true reference-grade sound. Tuned to a −1.0 dB/octave population-averaged diffuse field target and verified under ITU-T Type 4.3 conditions, the Reference achieves exceptional tonal accuracy, balance, and transparency; making it ideal for critical listening, studio monitoring, and mix evaluation.
At its core is a 2DD + 3BA hybrid driver system, featuring a Horizontally-Opposed Dual Woofer System (HODWS) for clean, controlled bass with reduced distortion, paired with balanced armatures for precise midrange and extended treble detail. A 5-axis CNC-machined aluminium shell offers durability, acoustic stability, and a contoured pseudo-custom fit for long-term comfort.
A benchmark for a new age. The Reference.

The iems not only sound good but are built really well and sturdy, while being one of the most comfortable ones I ever got to try, only beaten by much smaller ones that sound worse.
On top of that I got a small issue at first with moisture build up, but the support from hangout.audio could help me fix it on my own very quickly so I could continue to enjoy them.
As claimed, it's rather neutral.
Heard the engineering unit at a show and have been waiting since, the final product got even better texturing for the mid range than I remembered. Fast shipping and great overall shopping experience.
This is my personal 7Hrz Timeless moment. I heard these at canjam and had to get them just because of how impressed I was, 2nd best iem I heard all day after the Valhalla. I've been in this space for 15+ years and I cant believe this is the value you can get now. I told Crin and his team what this release will be like after hearing it and it all came true.
It comes pretty close to many of the kilobuck iems on the market. I'm unsure of how good these will serve as studio reference iems because they make every genre sound good and that's specifically why I love them so much. If you want to hear all the flaws of a recording you may want to shop around a bit more. These wouldn't be bad but there may be better options. If I were to inform a newbie me in todays age, I would say just buy these and a little dac and get out the space, you're set.
This release is important to this space because its making high fidelity more accessible to the masses, you no longer have to spend 1-2k+ to reach these levels. This price to value ratio was unheard of when I first got into iems and it gives me high hopes for whats yet to come.
Only con I have is the on the two pin connector on the iem, you really have to push it in a bit more than usual for it to be secure. When I first connected it one of the iems came loose which was concerning cause it was close to falling but after forcing it in a bit its been more secure.
Overall its an easy blind buy
I played CrinEar Reference through both CrinEar Protocol Max and JDS Labs Element IV, sound quality is really good. It took some time to find the best tips (many included). Cable is good as well. No complaints, pure musical pleasure!
