The Kiwi Ears Quintet is a high-resolution in-ear monitor (IEM) featuring a unique combination of 5 drivers per ear: a 10mm Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC) dynamic driver for impactful bass, two Knowles balanced armature (BA) drivers for natural mids, a new planar magnetic driver for crisp treble, and a piezoelectric (PZT) bone conductor for ultra-treble microdetail. This innovative driver setup ensures exceptional audio clarity, resembling professional studio monitors. The large DLC driver delivers powerful bass with fast decay, while the balanced armatures provide detailed mids. The Micro Planar Transducers (MPT) offer a new standard in treble quality with minimal noise and a wide frequency range, and the PZT driver enhances audio resolution and soundstage. The Quintet's meticulously tuned sound signature ensures balanced and natural audio, with a strong yet clean bass, warm mids, and detailed treble extending up to 40kHz, resulting in an immersive listening experience.

Very similar to the tuning of the hexa with a bit more bass. Still a bit to loud 8-10kHz.
Very clear and very good with a deep insert. More technical accurate resolution thanks to the micro Planar.
For those who can hear sub Bass like me it can play down to 10hz. The DD will distort at lower than 8Hz Above 66dB what is stupid because no music is playing below 20hz. Ignoring that 99% of people cannot hear below 20Hz.
The bass are a lot more precise like everything from the quintet vs hexa. Even though the hexa has also precise bass and very similar tuning.
It is V shaped.... V shaped jm-1 bout 2dB in the highs and 6dB by bass. Quite fun.
If you have a deep ear canal the 8-14kz can by sound louder and if not with a deep insert it can be a very very neutral from 150hz-20khz.
Go with the new CrinEar or the pure if you a treble sensitive.
It is btw more 5128 DF than JM-1.
If the bass is not enough use 30 Ohm for 2dB more. (Not necessarily)
Neutral tuning with a bass boost, fun with great technicalities. Great separation of instruments and well done treble. Nice snug and comfortable fit. Cable and tips are alright, case is nice but overall minimal accessories. Personally prefer this over the orchestra lite. Very strong recommendation from me :)
An amazing all rounder with punchy bass, pleasant mids and bright treble. Great for people who like exploring different music genres. The soundstage is decently sized and they’re extremely comfy on the ears, pretty good for gaming.
