CrinEar Nightfall brings the technology behind the $399 Project Monolith to a more accessible price point. Built on CrinEar’s MDM (Multi-Dynamic Monolithic) platform, Nightfall uses the same dual dynamic configuration and integrated acoustic architecture, with its chambers and pathways CNC-machined directly into a lightweight anodised aluminium shell.

Every driver is developed from the ground up in direct collaboration with China’s leading IEM dynamic driver manufacturer. The result is a fully bespoke dual-dynamic system designed around the MDM architecture, combining a natural midrange with deep, controlled bass and a smooth, engaging presentation.

Nightfall follows CrinEar’s science-first approach, using a population-averaged diffuse field baseline refined into a warm-neutral tuning. The Nightfall delivers advanced acoustic engineering, custom drivers, and monolithic design in an IEM built for everyday listening, all at CrinEar's most attainable price bracket yet.

Great sound and comfort

I was looking for an alternative to the IEMs I use daily with my PC. I wanted a comfortable pair that wouldn't hurt my ears during long listening sessions, with a vocal-forward tuning rather than heavy bass.

Great bass and imaging

I was looking for IEMs that provided good sub bass that were not a v shaped signature, and these worked. The separation and detail is very good, and the round is balanced. The mid highs are a little recessed, but that is ok. I can listen all day without fatigue.

Awesome..

I expected the JM-1 curve to not suit me, yet it does, and very well at that! Even though this is a bit bright for me, I've grown to like it.

Recessed connector....

Impossible to use on bluetooth hooks due to the connector being recessed for some reason. Even if you order hooks with the exact connector as mentioned on the spec, it won't seat correctly (and if the hooks are metal on the end, you can't even trim them to fit.

What is the reason behind the decision to recess the port?

Best sound at this price point

Super detailed throughout, and a deceptive amount of bass out of the box. I found it a little fatiguing at first, but I got the promo that included the Protocol Micro, and toyed with that a bit to tune it to my preferences and now I can listen per my usual 2ish hour sessions and love every second. I did have to play with the massive selection of tips that came with it to find the ones that fit best, so I appreciate the inclusion of such a wide variety. I will also add, I'm not an expert, but I would definitely recommend these (paired with the Protocol Micro) to anyone looking for great IEMs that swing well above their MSRP. Additionally, the included carrying case gets the job done, and while it's nothing special, I'm glad it's not made of that garbage bonded leather stuff that bubbles and flakes after a couple weeks.
