Shit's good
I purchased the 7Hz x Crinacle Salnotes Zero:2 in July 2024 as an entry point into the audiophile world, looking for a set of IEMs that could introduce me to better sound quality and maybe even spark a new hobby. Coming from a background of using gaming headphones most of my life, this was a totally new experience—one that I quickly grew to prefer.
Right from the start, I found the Zero:2s to be a pleasure to use. They offered a detailed, clean sound that made streaming music genuinely enjoyable, and surprisingly, they held up well for gaming too. As a first step into IEMs, they hit a great balance between performance and accessibility.
However, after extended use, I did run into some durability issues—specifically with the cable. The plastic memory hooks designed to sit around the back of the ears became loose at the connector, causing the cable to twist awkwardly. Over time, this twisting led to strain on the internal copper wires. Eventually, one side stopped working entirely due to a break in the wire near the connector. The drivers themselves remain perfectly fine, but the cable failure definitely took away from the experience.
While this was frustrating, I still feel these IEMs were worth the purchase. For now, I’ll be replacing the cable rather than buying a whole new pair—simply because I’ve enjoyed them that much. The sound quality, comfort, and value have left a strong impression on me, and I’d still recommend them, especially to anyone just starting their journey into better audio.
Got this to use for arcade rhythm games and it provides superb fun bass overall for its price range. Truly exemplifies it's statement about not being a simple retune. I have tried the Salnotes Zero and this is a clear upgrade in audio quality. For it's price range this is certainly one that delivers beyond what I paid for.
Honestly, it is great IEM at that price. I was positively surprised by its quality, even though I wasn't expecting much. 10/10 would recommend to people on a budget ;)
