New to IEMs. This is my 3rd IEM. I purchased this to replace my IE600, (one of the ear piece died, my other IEM is the hexa).
For the sounds parts, it’s being compared to the IE600.
For me, this IEM has too much bass. But it’s also revealed some layers of bass that I wasn’t able to notice with the IE600. Sometimes I found the IE600 to be too bassy. Maybe I’m too sensitive to it. I think your fondness for the bass if going to dictate whether you deduct or add points to it.
When it comes to vocals, and the resolution in vocals, this doesn’t hold a candle to the IE600. Listening to the same songs, I know I’m missing some details, the singers breath etc. That being said, if the IE600 is a 10/10 for vocals, I’d place this around 8/10.
The build is really good. Metal casing. Front resin for the art design. Really tasteful look. QC on mine is perfect. Changeable terminations which is awesome.
I heard this also has named drivers. Which I’m told is a good thing. I did find the cable to be slightly microphonic. Overall build quality, 9/10.
With all being said. I’m going to listen to it for several months and make see how if my opinions change.
