I like the Wan'er, I really do, but both the Truthear Gate and Monodrop Chu 2 sound better overall, and they both cost $2 less!
It's hard to recommend the Wan'er when there are better options for cheaper. I'm still giving these four stars though. They're hardly BAD, there's just better options out there.
If you like a "neutral" tuning, get the Gate. If you like bass, the Chu 2 might be the better choice for you, but personally I prefer the Gate all day long.
Hope that helps!
Watched all the reviews and stupid me believed them all. Do not waste your $ on this POS. Most of the cost obviously went to the packaging.
Pros for the price:
Well balanced sound.
Build quality (the green/golden colour rocks), packaging & accessories.
Surprisingly good mic.
Cons:
Lacks a bit of clarity.
Watch out for dudes with big ears:
Smaller than e.g. Zero red and at least for me (187cm tall with big ears) this causes the fit to be a bit loose. It is not a major concern but I thought I should let other future buyers know.
Although I have been watching Crinacle's reviews for years, I have only recently bought and used IEM's. The Wan'er are my second pair. Personally, I enjoy these very much as a daily driver. While I also have a second more expensive pair with better sound stage to use for audio-focused gaming (Valorant), the Wan'er definitely exceeds it's price in value - and the green pair is beautiful. I prefer the tuning for music as well compared to my more expensive pair - as the vocals are much more upfront, and the bass is more pronounced. I don't find myself fatiguing wearing these for 7+ hours, and they are comfortable. Switching from music, to streams, TV/movies, and less audio focused gaming.
Product arrived faster to Canada than I expected. No damage to the product due to very good packaging. I will absolutely be purchasing exclusively from The Hangout and supporting this business until they give me a reason not to.
They're not fantastic in a broad sense, but they do what they have to for the price point. Nothing wrong with them.
They're very comfortable and the cable is really nice, compared to more expensive models like the chu II or even the ZERO:RED.
Sound wise, they're fine for day to day listening. Not harsh at all. They miss some clarity and oompf for me personally, but they're less than 20 bucks, so.
