I went to singapore with my family for a holiday trip and one of my friends recommend me an audio-centric place in Chinatown called "The Hangout" (yes its this very site). I went there and was surprised with their collections.
I was asking the staffs about an IEM recommendation that have a forward-vocal and they gave me this Simgot EM6L to demo/try (kinda nice of them to let people try the IEM before checking out). Besides that they also let me tried other IEMs like Truthear Zero Blue 2 (they had a collab on it?), Crinear Project Meta (their own audio brand apparently, very cool). 7Hz G1, 7Hz Salnotes Dioko, and Tangzu Zeitan Wu Heyday. -Thank god I had bring my FiiO KA17 DAC with me on this trip to Singapore
While the Zero Blue 2 has an extended bass option and Meta was exceptionally good (especially its soundstage and dynamic range), I was drawn to the Simgot EM6L due to its vocal reproduction being more forward similar to my FiiO FT-1 headphone at home.
After trying out multiple other IEMs for an hour or two, I decided to buy the Simgot EM6L. At first demo of the Simgot EM6L, I immediately checked the frequency response graph on The Hangout (this site) because I was surprised on how synths sound more prominent/clean and hi-hats sound more sparkly (those 4 Balanced Amartures be doing some real work). It also did that without distorting/ruining vocals and the bass/sub-bass. When I was reading how Simgot configured this IEM, I was expecting the 1 Dynamic Driver to produce more deeper bass (since they dedicate the 1DD for Bass & Sub-Bass, while the 4BA for Midrange & Treble)
After listening to the Simgot EM6L for another 8 hours after purchase, I am very satisfied with the Simgot EM6L because it suits the sound signature that I used to listen back at home (albeit with less deeper bass extension and more sparkle, which are not bad at all). Special thanks to the Hangout Audio staffs for the accurate recommendation. -Warm Regards from Jakarta
I really like my EM6L'S. They're good across the range of frequencies and clear without being aggressive in the high end. I use Spinfit CP100's on the advice of Spinfit customer service and they're an excellent fit for me. I'd recommend them.
I’ve been using using IEMs for my desktop pc for 2 years now and ’ve been satisfied with sound in every task (video calls, gaming, music, etc).
So I decided to upgrade and since I wanted a good soundstage and good highs I opted for the EM6L. I was not disappointed.
From sound effects to instruments, the audio is crystal clear and very distinct, an amazing choice for all my activities.
The only problem I’m facing right now is the fit. The smallest ear tip provided is still too big and very uncomfortable, instead of a regular silicone shape there’s a black ring on the stem that really makes it hard to fit in my small ears. I’m opting for some good quality aftermarket ear tip.
