Had to buy this because of IEM use on phone and PC. Yes i have 3.5 jack in PC but with this i don't have to crank volume too high. On PC it's 10 and youtube 10-15%. Need to test on phone while listening music from Tidal and for gameplay on PC.
This is my first experience with an "audiophile" DAC dongle, but it sounds noticeably better than my Samsung dongle or going straight from my laptop, more detail, separation and soundstage. I don't know if I'm going crazy, but I feel like I can hear the room or decay of reverbs much clearer.
With my phone (Galaxy A55) and Truthear Pure just 3 clicks up from 0 volume is already very loud, and I feel like something will explode if I accidentally put the volume at max. And it gets very warm, which makes me worried about overheating, we'll se how long it lasts.
I had a really bad track record with two of the jcally USB c dac's, but I read very positive reviews about this particular one. So far it's still only slightly better than my apple USB c dac/ amp. I hope it lasts a long time!
Title says it all and I don't regret the investment. In fact, I'm trying out other DACs, like the JM7.
Great for price, feels solid enough and delivers good sound and power.
