Apart from the ease of pronouncing the name ( I always confuse the letters of the latter ) I found the same ease on listening. The “edges” are rounded without loosing their precision. The “depth” is there but you don’t break your leg falling in. The voices are natural without being in your face.
I am not an IEM connaisseur or a tech guru but a professional musician of 45 years used to be in studio and live performances where electricity is used only for lighting and recording, so natural sound is my sound. And the Dusk reproduces this sound more than adequately at an affordable price. Yes, if you can spend 45000 € you can get a better audio system for your house but then again if you spend 650000 € you can have the Wiener Philarmoniker in your garden, or Slash for your party or Anna Netbreko for your daughter’s wedding. The Dusk is perfect for travelling to and from work, specially if “at work” you do play Mozart or Verdi and listen to dear Anna.
I was very hesitant on this, because many reviewers said that you should buy it because of the DSP cable. It sounds incredible on the analog cable, I tried the DSP and I only noticed a slightly better bass. If you are looking to use it only analog, you should get the moondrop mc2 cable, the one that comes with it is really cheap.
Overall if you have doubts because of the DSP cable don't worry because it still sounds incredible.
(Also I upgraded from the Sennheiser IE200, and I got the wow factor)
Brilliantly tuned pleasant lightweight in ears
Both are great IEM at its price range, but with A/B test, I am delighted with the Moondrop X Crinicle Dusk. It sounded fuller and the details are great especially on the vocal mids. It is a great IEM, Moondrop is getting better and better!!
It sounds good. It looks good. It feels good. Was critical of the DSP Cable but I turned out to like it quite a lot. The delivery was fast enough. The EQ Files you get through the App or with AutoEQ are an incredibly welcome Bonus.
