The World’s Flattest In-Ear Monitors.
Purpose-built for absolute neutrality, the CrinEar Reference is a precision-engineered in-ear monitor designed to deliver true reference-grade sound. Tuned to a −1.0 dB/octave population-averaged diffuse field target and verified under ITU-T Type 4.3 conditions, the Reference achieves exceptional tonal accuracy, balance, and transparency; making it ideal for critical listening, studio monitoring, and mix evaluation.
At its core is a 2DD + 3BA hybrid driver system, featuring a Horizontally-Opposed Dual Woofer System (HODWS) for clean, controlled bass with reduced distortion, paired with balanced armatures for precise midrange and extended treble detail. A 5-axis CNC-machined aluminium shell offers durability, acoustic stability, and a contoured pseudo-custom fit for long-term comfort.
A benchmark for a new age. The Reference.

CrinEar Reference has landed.
It is a very interesting iem to say the least.
The Reference tonal balance is something familiar to those who follow a balanced (and somewhat tilting natural) tuning.
Treble centric listeners may find the Reference lacking in that exciting sense of sparkle, air and space. Though there is somewhat a sense of stage, not exactly intimate.
Midrange is neither forward nor recessed, kinda like Goldilocks, it’s placed just nicely (to my ears). It helps that the music has a good amount of density, texture and detail. Certain nuances in music we’re familiar with, tend to be more apparent than before.
Bass, or more so sub-bass, has some prominence. If you’re someone who enjoys sub-bass, the Reference offers it in quality and decent amount of layering.
The Reference, in my view, would attract those who value and appreciate music, presented as how they are edited in the studio. No more, no less, well, maybe with a bit more rumble presence in the low end.
And in a sense, the Reference also presents the character of the music player. It would make a very good gear, to have a snapshot of how a dap would sound.
At the moment, the Reference is an interesting iem, and my music library is in active shuffling mode, to rediscover how they sound with, what Crinacle calls it, the World’s Flattest earphones.
Bought the CrinEar Reference while on holidays in Singapore, and I'm glad I did as these are some fantastic sounding iems. Has a bit of bass and a restrained treble but is definitely not a boring or what I would call flat. It definitely has life to the tuning and it is great for extended listening periods. Very pleased with my purchase and the staff were very accommodating as well.
